  2. To the Hilt is yet *another* underappreciated effort by the greatest Dutch rock band ever- Golden Earring. Moontan had sparkling production and wonderful songwriting leading one to believe it was destined to be a worldwide commercial success (and in a way it was, I suppose)/5(28).

  6. This (Duo Box) version has just 'Made In Germany' in the mould rings of both discs, a different issue to Golden Earring - Live (Universal M&L, differences in label lay out / artwork) and Golden Earring - Live (PDO, Germany). ℗ All songs published by Dayglow/Snamyook except , by Tucson Music.
  7. Golden Earring's output during the seventies was extensive, and eventually seemed to run together. The January of release of To the Hilt was the first of two LPs from the Dutch group during the year. Self-produced, with vocalist Barry Hay and guitarist George Kooymans sharing the writing credit for each of the seven tracks, To the Hilt possesses a pronounced progressive lean, as keyboards.
